May I wish every member and visitor of Dereham Golf Club a splendid golfing year. I am honoured and delighted to be Captain of Dereham Golf Club for this season and look forward to playing golf with members. A warm welcome to all visitors from me personally and our members who pride themselves on making us a friendly club.
I have been involved with the club since the late 70's when I joined the club as the Club Professional. Dereham kindly offered me my first full professional job. It was great fun to work for and be a part of. I have fond memories of the 5 years spent here. 50 years later, I find myself back but now as a retired professional. I have joined as a full member and am enjoying being at this friendly club once again.
Our clubhouse is undergoing a revamp after some storm damage and it is hoped the new lounge and changing rooms will be re-opened early Spring. It is hoped to have a full golfing and social calendar this year.
Dereham GC is a beautiful 9 hole parkland course. If you haven't played it yet, why not give us a visit - it is well worth it.
